This song can also be called as the cultural anthem of Uttrakhand. Originally sung by Gopal Babu Goswami, this song still has maintained it's charm and is being recited globally and has multiple versions today.
Theme:
The folk songs, Bedu Pako reflects the natural beauty, the traditions, and a famous fruit, Bedu, which is found in the short season of April & May. This song is a symbol of homecoming also, where a woman is expressing her desire to his husband, named Narain, to return to her parent's home. As she becomes nostalgic, she recalls her childhood memories where she was pampered as a child.
